National Zoological Park, Delhi Overview

At that time, the zoo was the model zoo in the country, hence in 1982 the name of the zoo was changed from Delhi Zoo to National Zoological Park. The Indian Board for Wildlife wanted to have a zoo in the national capital of the nation to give entertainment to people on the loose. The zoo is home to many indigenous animals and birds from India and also a few species belonging to international borders.
  • Mammals:The zoo has Mammals like the Palm Civet, Porcupine, Mongoose, and Bats. One Mammals that is exceptional among the Mammals is the Five Striped Squirrel.
  • Migratory: National Zoological Park additionally encounters numerous transitory birds from various areas the nation over.
