Covering an area of ​​480 acres, the eco park in New Town, Kolkata was inaugurated on 29 December 2012 by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.  You can visit the place with your family or friends or partner. Here you can do various activities on land as well as water.  Enjoy the beauty of winter with your family in this park. Troy Train is available.

How to reach Eco Park Kolkata?

You can easily reach the eco park from Kolkata city. You can easily reach by metro rail, bus, taxi or cab (Ola/Uber), own car, bike etc. This Eco Tourism Park is located in the Action Area- II of New Town along the Major Arterial Road, which is a part of Biswa Bangla Sarani. The park is situated at an approximate distance of 10km from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and is very well connected with VIP Road and EM Bypass.

1. Bus: By taking any bus from Kolkata to Newtown (eg – AC 12, AC 12D, VS24) you will reach Eco park.
2. Taxi or Cab (Ola/Uber): Book a taxi or cab from anywhere in Kolkata to reach Eco park.
3. You can also drive your own car to this park. Here Parking facilities are very good.

Eco Park Kolkata Entry Timings / Opening Hours:-

During Summer (1st March to 31st October):

Tuesday to Saturday = 2:30 PM. to 8:30 P.M.
Sunday & Holidays = 12 Noon. to 8:30 P.M.

During Winter (1st November to 28th February):

Tuesday to Saturday = 12 Noon. to 7:30 P.M.
Sunday & Holidays = 11 AM. to 7:30 P.M.

***Monday the park is closed for maintenance.

Eco Park Kolkata Activities to enjoy:

• Boating: You can play Shikara, paddle boating, speed boating with your family or friends.
• Children’s play area: There is also a special area for children to play, where you will find swings, slides etc.
• Cycling: Here you can rent a single cycle or tandem cycle to explore the entire park.
• Play Mini Golf: Here you will find mini golf courses.
• You will also find zorbing ball, kayaking, archery etc.

Eco Park Kolkata Entry Fee:-

To enter the park, you have to pay a ticket of 30 rupees (3 years and above). You can also book tickets over phone. You have to book separate tickets for the rest of the activities.

Inside you will find a variety of food stalls or take away from home. However, if you want to see the whole park, you must take a whole day to go to Eco Park.

Eco – Tourism Park in Kolkata is an expensive urban park designed to promote eco – tourism in the city. It is the biggest urban park in India. Spend a relaxing afternoon in Eco – Tourism Park, 480 acres (190 hectares) of themed gardens, ecological spaces, and play areas surrounding a man – made lake. Inaugurated in 2012, the park has quickly become one of the most popular recreational spots in the city.

It’s often visited by picnickers or those who want a quick escape from mundane lives. The beautiful and well – maintained landscape is a perfect retreat for nature lovers. All the facilities provided inside the park are designed to decrease the adverse effects on nature through non – pollution and landscape.
