Pareshnath Shiv Mandir (Temple) Mukutmanipur

Pareshnath Shiv Temple Mukutmanipur is one of the historical religious places in this natural beauty. This Shiv temple on the hill in Mukutmanipur is a very sacred place for Hindus.

According to local people, a Shiv linga was found while digging the soil during the construction of dam on the river Kangsabati. The local residents established this Shiv Linga and named it Pareshnath Shiv Mandir.

Pareshnath temple is located in Mukutmanipur in Bankura district of West Bengal which is about 250 km from Kolkata. This temple near the Mukutmanipur Dam offers a wonderful view of the Kangsabati Dam and the surrounding area.

  1. Bus: There are direct buses from Dharmatala in Kolkata to Mukutmanipur which will take you to Mukutmanipur in about 7 to 8 hours. From where you can easily reach Pareshnath Shiv Temple by local vehicles or on foot.
  2. Train: If you want to reach Pareshnath Shiv Temple by rail, you will first take a train from Kolkata to Bankura, then you will take a bus or taxi for about 55 km. You can also go directly to Pareshnath Shiv Temple in your private car from Kolkata.

  3. Special Aarti every Monday: A special Aarti is organized here every Monday to worship Shiv.
